PRESENT PERFECT vs PAST SIMPLE

el

  • Present Perfect (PP) = Events that happened since we were born until now.
  • Past Simple (PS) = Specific and finished past events. (WHEN?)

Have a look at my examples:

I have been to India.
I went to India in 2015.

I have danced with Matt.
I danced with Matt when he recorded his 2016 video in London.

I have ridden a camel.
I rode a camel two times, one in Moroco and another in India.


I have met lots of friends.
I met this friend 3 years ago.

I have done a Triathlon.
I did my first Triathlon in Dartford (UK).

I have swum with elephants.
I swam with elephants years ago when I went to Thailand.

I have run a marathon.
I ran the London Marathon in 2016.

I have climbed a volcano.
I climbed the Tunguragua (Ecuador) years ago with my father.




Can you think of an amazing thing that you have done? And when did you do it?
